How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you create a framework within which to make career decisions?
Extremely. I had been at a loss career-wise for some time after leaving a long-term position, and although I’d spend a year considering/exploring options I eventually realised I needed proper guidance in order to focus and have a sense of direction when it came to applying for things. One of my main aims for the session was to gain insight on career paths I hadn’t thought of which might suit my existing skills as well as me personally – I’m not the most confident f people so it had been very daunting trying to work out what one earth I might be good at if it was something new – and Mary did not disappoint as she gave me several thing to look into, with obvious careful thought having gone into making them relevant to me.
How satisfied were you with your consultant?
Extremely. I hadn’t had any thoughts on what I wanted from my consultant initially apart from someone who could guide me job-wise, but Mary proved to be the perfect consultant for me. She was so perceptive and conscientious, and her advice never felt pushy or rushed, so to have the opportunity to chat with someone of her knowledge and experience who also seemed to genuinely care about my future and wanted to understand me to the best of her ability was utterly invaluable.
How satisfied were you with your report?
Extremely. It was so useful to be reminded of things that had been outlined during our meeting, but alongside this have areas expanded upon or with links to sites for reference, e.g. in relation to particular roles. Having something with that level of depth and insight to refer to ongoing will be a great tool.
How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you to understand yourself better?
Extremely. I had always struggled to appreciate what skills or strengths I had before and usually tended to see my weaknesses, but Mary was so kind and helpful in getting me to realise what else I had to offer potential future employers.
What were your reasons for coming to Career Analysts?
Totally lost about career path, Looking for change of career, assessing strengths and weaknesses.
Which aspects did you find particularly useful?
I found all aspects incredibly useful as everything I’d hope to gain from it I did i.e. recommendations for new industries to look into, but the thorough analysis of the data collected from my tests and questionnaires and how that was then weighed up against my skill set, interests, and personality was so impressive and Mary’s ability to understand me so well just from that one meeting couples with how attentive she was made the whole experience really enjoyable as well as useful.

How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you create a framework within which to make career decisions?
Extremely. The testing and discussion with Pamela indicated to me that actually I was following the wrong career path when taking my natural strengths into account. The report and recommendations that were presented to me have helped me to make the decision to set off in a different direction in my career.
How satisfied were you with your consultant?
Extremely. I find that while the testing and the report itself are very valuable, Pamela worked with me in order to find specific niches and area’s that I had either not thought about in the past, or at least from the incorrect perspective. It is obvious that Pamela is very interested in and excited by her current role.
How satisfied were you with your report?
Very. Very satisfied with the overall outcomes, analysis and recommendations of the report, however, one criticism would be the amount of template content. I think that a reduction of this content, making the report shorter and more personal is a goal that would be worth pursuing for you.
How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you to understand yourself better?
Extremely. Having a visual representation of my abilities and having an expert explain the results and take my input into account in the consultation made me realised that I had been pursuing goals in ways that were detrimental to my happiness and success.

Which aspects did you find particularly useful?
I thought the whole process was very well executed, convenient and efficient. The report, testing results and consultation were all very useful.
What aspect, if any, could be improved?
A stated above the report content could be made shorter and the template section reduced slightly, but it is not a massive issue. Otherwise the whole experience was hugely positive.

How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you create a framework within which to make career decisions?
Extremely. My conversation with Mary was which I look back on very fondly. Either we had extremely pliable personalities or she was very good at her job. Both are probably true. What I found valuable, was not the career paths we discussed, rather the subtle hints woven into the report. She has put a lot of effort and thought into every career option. Although this was useful, I found the ‘reading between the lines’ far more valuable.
How satisfied were you with your consultant?
Extremely. Mary was able to read me on site and despite the lullabies I had in my head, she saw straight through these. She also had the experience of meeting my parents, who can be challenging at best. She handled the situation extremely well and left us all extremely impressed with the consultancy.
How satisfied were you with your report?
Very. Although it has taken me some time to sort my head out, and I have been stuck in a state of denial for some time now. This report which helped me come out of this and understand myself. Mary has put a lot of effort into writing my report and it really shows that she has gone the extra mile.
How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you to understand yourself better?
Extremely. As mentioned before, the report gave me a true and honest interpretation of myself.
What were your reasons for coming to Career Analysts?
Totally lost about career path. Assessing strengths and weaknesses.
Which aspects did you find particularly useful?
What helped me was the personality assessment and her frank recommendations. Every career path we discussed (other than salesperson) I had considered before. It did not offer me insight into which career path I should venture down, but helped me understand myself and I am grateful for the experience.
What aspect, if any, could be improved?
My constructive criticism would be to have more time. Although I often went off on a tangent, I was constantly reminded of the time we had available and I was not able to relax fully under the time pressure. Of course, everybody has a time schedule to stick to, however, I was upset because this service has a large asking price and with so little time, it did not feel like we were getting our moneys worth.

How satisfied were you with your report?
Very. It has not only been very helpful for me, but for me to give to give to my parents so they have a better idea of how they can help me in my career journey.

How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you create a framework within which to make career decisions?
Very. It was really useful being told the kind of job and environment that I might be the most suied to based on my personality. I did not feel strongly about all the career possibilities that the consultant suggested but there were 2 or 3 of them that appealed to me which I am thinking about in more detail before I make a decision moving forward.
How satisfied were you with your consultant?
Extremely. She was very attentive and really wanted to find out as much as about me as possible so she could give me the best advice. She made me feel like she genuinely cared about helping me which is something that I wanted from the consultant. She explained the results of the tests well so that I understood everything.
How satisfied were you with your report?
Very. It was more detailed than I expected which was great. She went into detail about the tests and what they most likely mean for the type of career I should be going for. It was also useful to see that she was writing things which I already knew about myself which gave me confidence in what I was feeling about my career.
How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you to understand yourself better?
Very. I already knew some of the things that were said in the report but there was also some information that I didn’t know which is hopefully going to be useful in making a decision.
What were your reasons for coming to Career Analysts?
Totally lost about career path.
Which aspects did you find particularly useful?
I think the tests were useful because they confirm things that you already know about yourself. The best thing I found about this was for my own confidence in that I now know what I think about myself is right, whereas before I wasn’t sure. Talking to someone is useful because it helps when someone asks you questions. Sometimes it can make things a bit clearer if you have a discussion with someone.
What aspect, if any, could be improved?
I had to call myself to ask for confirmation of my appointment with the psychologist. I would have preferred a slightly more efficient confirmation process via email because although the appointment was confirmed by telephone I had to call again because I didn’t receive my email confirmation with the details, I had to ask for it myself, it’s not a big thing but it would have just made the process a bit smoother and enjoyable.

Totally lost about career path. Looking for change of career. Assessing strengths and weaknesses.
Which aspects did you find particularly useful?
The discussion with Mary and the efforts she took to try and understand my circumstances. Her moral support for my current career / employment difficulties.
What aspect, if any, could be improved?
I didn’t really like doing the timed tests online – I felt that I did worse with some of the tests than if I had been able to hold the paper, turn it around, draw on it etc. My main screen went blank for one of the tests and I lost about a minute of optimum viewing. I would have preferred to do these as a pen and paper exercise. I don’t think it gave a particularly good representation of my abilities.

How valuable was the Career Analysts experience in helping you create a framework within which to make career decisions?
Very
The meeting and the report helped to confirm possible career paths I had previously thought about as viable options, and also suggested alternative careers that would be suited to me that I hadn’t ever thought about.
How satisfied were you with your consultant?
Extremely
She was very friendly and easy to talk to, making me me feel more at ease as I was slightly nervous. The way the meeting was conducted I also felt was good, as she would ask me questions first, and then show me the data from the tests that confirmed what I was saying, so that I wasn’t swayed into agreeing with the graphs. This helped me feel more confident in the validity of the tests.

It went into further detail that which we had discussed in the meeting, and also provided some references and links to information that will be useful should I be interested in certain suggested career paths which was helpful.

The personality chart I found very interesting as there were a couple of results I wouldn’t have expected at first, but since the meeting, thinking about them they definitely seem correct when I think of how they apply to different aspects of my life.
